Trudy It is very hard to determine the weight of a chain online and I wished it was a little heavier for the pendant I ordered to wear with it however it is a nice chain and so far seems sturdy. I find the clasp a little hard to use because the opening of it is near the bottom of the curve of the loop and it is a bit challenging to get it done up. Overall I am happy with the quality of the chain for the price.
