is Venetian Glass?
Venetian Glass (also known as Murano Glass or Millefiori) originated in Venice in the early 13th century. Skilled artisans first created this unique glass by dipping into various colors of glass. Over time their methods evolved to create an incredibly decretive type glass. Venetian Glass is still made today using virtually the same methods as centuries ago.
Here's how Venetian glass jewelry is made. The end of an iron rod is dipped into several colors of molten glass, so that the end has a blob of multilayered colored glass on it. A second price of iron is attached to the blob, and the the blob is stretch while still hot. Its stretched for hundreds of feet until its stretched into a glass rod that's millimeters thin and hundreds of feet long. This rod is chopped up into pieces. The pieces are then hand arranged on Silver Jewelry and fused together creating some of the most classy and uniqu jewelry around.
